EPF Withdrawal for House Purchase
The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) allows members to withdraw their Account II savings yearly to part finance a residential property (house / condominium) purchase from the Developer. The said withdrawal can be made annually from the last date of withdrawal, with a minimum withdrawal of RM500.

Members are eligible to withdraw the total amount in his/her Account II, or the total outstanding balance of the housing loan, whichever is lower, or such amount the member wishes to withdraw, subject to the maximum allowable.

Acquisition of Property by Foreign Interest
Any acquisition of property valued at RM150,000 or more, by foreign interest including permanent resident requires the approval of the Foreign Investment Committee (FIC) and State Authority.
The onus to inform the FIC and State Authority lies with the individual Purchaser. However, the solicitor preparing the Sale & Purchase Agreement will assist to prepare and submit the relevant documents on behalf of the Purchaser.

The estimated expenses relating to the FIC and State Authority submission amounts to RM1,000 per case.
